In January of 2025, a space in the children’s ministry was set aside and transformed to be used as a safe and comforting area for children with additional needs. Each child is valued as a cherished part of our church family. We’re excited to be able to welcome more families impacted by special needs and provide a community where they can experience God’s love, find support, and have the freedom to worship and be poured into at our adult service.
As part of the children’s ministry, the sensory room is only accessible by background checked Dream Teamers who serve in FLF Kids as a “Buddy”.

At our 11am service, we will personalize accommodations and support for each child to create a more inclusive environment. Support is determined by a conversation with the family and a brief intake form. Typically, children are paired with a one-on-one volunteer, called a “buddy,” and remain in class with their same-aged peers. Our team of buddies are coached to know whenever a child may need a break from regular programming to use the accommodations in the sensory room.
The Sensory Room is available for children ages 3-12 attending FLF Kids at 11am.
